Another World Cup has come and gone, and West Ham still remain the only club to effectively have won the trophy. Does anyone think this record will ever be matched?

I just think its fair to say West Ham cost us that WC, if you are to claim they had a hand in the '66 one.

You call me dumb yet can't even spell Germany....
And as i pointed out before, had it not been for old butter fingers, we wouldn't have even been playing Germany in that round....

If it's not that round, it will be in the next round..as strikers like Defoe can't even bothred hit a barn door then there is absoultely no chance of winning the world cup

We wouldnt have met Germany in the next round either - they would have been on the other half of the draw.

As if England would have beaten, Ghana/Uruguay and Netherlands(evenutal finalists) with Defoe firing blanks

Maf,
Defoe wasn't our only option in attack. And we'll never know what might have been had West Ham not lost us the chance (this being in sync with the article topic).
