Morning lads
Watched a brilliant documentary the other night.
It was Professor Stephen Hawking explaining that we can now rule God or a creator out of the picture because Science now tells us that we can in fact have something from nothing.
It's available on YouTube and I'd highly recommend it.
I think we once had a discussion on here some time ago and it's fair to say we had a variety of views/opinions on the matter.
No matter what Science tells me, I can't comprehend the idea that time/space/existence just appeared spontaneously.
I've heard the arguments about positive and negative energy = zero but that just raises the question about the existence of that energy.
I think it would be easier to replace the word 'God' with 'intelligent design' because whilst we have no evidence of a God, we certainly have evidence for intelligent design.
Anyway, food for thought
Regards
Met.

I know, it's just annoying. You can't even call somebody an Iraqi or an Israeli, because they have to be a Jew, a Kerd a Palestine ect.
It's likely to be part of the reason the war never ends, the same reason a Muslim will support the Palestine's and a Jew will support Israel. Tribalism.

Yeah and these distinctions all give way to a lot of ethno-centrism and racism. Which is actually really sad because if you strip those artifical divisions away, most of these people share very similar cultures and values and should be able to get along with ease (which is the case with expats/emigrants from the region)

Just like patriotism

I think any movement which extols the virtues of factors outside our control is fundamentally flawed.

Darn!
Not on here for a month and I miss another one of these articles.
Stephen Hawking, oh dear!
I commented in that other article and can't be bothered to go into any detail here now that I've arrived at the party after everyone's gone.
All I'll say is, "Scoffers gonna scoff!"
End times people, end times...
