Dwain Chambers (sniffer) has pulled out of the Commonwealth Games to focus on next month's European Championships in Zurich..
Most of the British people don't know the meaning of Commonwealth and they don't even value the organization at all.. Without Commonwealth, Britain wouldn't have existed today; they fought British war(s) and many people died. in the process. Ever since, the evil Empire EU is getting expanding year after year, no one in this country really cares about Commonwealth.
Sad thing is, these days Latvia and Lithuania are more important for Britain than Canada, NZ or Australia.
some of the starts at the commonwealth games:

Dwain Chambers is an arrogant Brit

And by the way, on what grounds are you criticising Dwain Cahmbers? The guy is 35 so he is right to think that his chances of success at European Championships will substantially improve if he goes into it well rested. He may well be retiring after them and he wants to go out with a medal.

Impressive doesn't mean it's worth taking pride in.
Hitler's growth in Germany was impressive.
It doesn't mean Germans should be proud of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
hitlers growth, whilst impressive, was also pretty much
inevitable. once he gained power
it was built on the promise of guaranteed jobs for everybody, 0% unemployment. always a vote winner.
and it worked for a while, the country employed everybody who didn't have a job, making them build new roads and other infrastructure.
the problem was it bankrupted the country, and to prevent having the populace turn on him over this, he turned their anger towards the jews, who already had a reputation for making and controlling the wealth wherever they went. but that wasn't enough, he needed to turn that anger outward, and take other countries wealth, and Poland already had a large jewish population.
that's oversimplifying it all a hell of a lot, but that's the gist of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hitler's economic miracle was the result of his enormous expansion of the armed forces, which in itself created jobs in the sectors supplying them
their employment figures were also pretty fabricated-for instance, people on short term contracts would still be counted as employed. all the investment in the State went towards the military rather than on consumer goods. as a resut, living standards, although better than they were in the depression were rather lower than they had been on the boom years of the 20s
also, little known fact but the Polish regime we eventually went to war to save was another notoriously anti-semitic one

I am a gooner , I agree with you.
Arshavin's legacy,
Commonwealth was formed in the mid of 20th century. Tell me, which country occupied the other or annexed since it's formation? You are talking rubbish. EU is the most dangerous regime than East India Company.

Sorry, I should have clarified, it's the connotations that come with the commonwealth. It has an inherent link to the British empire, and the British empire of course was a murderous, jingoistic institution that went about invading other countries. So it's more what it represents.
The British commonwealth in an ideal world shouldn't exist either. It is ultimately immoral as it only exists due to the British empire, and most likely an cynical attempt to try and maintain some control over the British colonies as the empire was declining.
And by the way, the British Commonwealth is technically guilty of denying other countries their right to self-determination, as it was established in 1949, and the following countries did not gain independence until after that (often decades later):
Antigua and Barbuda
Bahamas
Bahrain
Barbados
Belize
Botswana
Cyprus
Fiji
Gambia
Ghana
Grenada
Guyana
Jamaica
Kenya
Kiribati
Kuwait
Lesotho
Malawi
Malaysia
Maldives
Malta
Mauritius
Nigeria
Qatar
St Kitts and Nevis
St Lucia
St Vincent and The Grenadines
Seychelles
Sierra Leone
Solomon Islands
Swaziland
Tonga
Trinidad and Tobago
Tuvalu
Uganda
UAE
Vanuatu
Zambia
Zimbabwe
