Ramsey & Walcott

A lot of talk about who we are signing/not signing or who we need to sign but for me, these 2 players keeping themselves fit is as important as any player we are going to bring in this Summer.

It's an easy excuse for Arsenal fans to make but it really is a fact, without those 2 last season, we collapsed. They are vital members of the Arsenal squad. With Alexis joining, we may not be as reliant on Walcott as usual but having both of them in the team feeding off Ozil could prove a lethal trio and we need to keep Theo fit for once if we want to see them progress together.

Likewise with Ramsey, you would have been laughed at this time last year if you said he is the man that makes us tick but he really is. We need to partner him with an enforcer next season to take some of the workload off him, apparently he was our top tackler last season despite missing half a facking season And obviously the goals and assists out of nothing can't be replaced with squad players coming in for him.

If we can keep both of them fit for the full season it would be amazing, if we can add to the squad with a midfield enforcer and a new center back (whether Vermealen stays or not) then we can really challenge, even with Giroud up front. But we need adequate cover for Giroud up front, not Sanogo or Campbell.

Walcott is a far bigger concern cos an ACL injury can prove catastrophic for a player's physical capabilities. It has robbed many players of their pace. If Walcott loses his biggest weapon, we'll be seeing another Owen scenario.

This is also a big season for Ox. He hasn't developed as quickly as he should have over the past couple of years. I still don't really trust him as a key player. He should take cue for Sterling at Liverpool.

Don't even get me started on Wilshere. Been a massive, massive disappointment. Not even as good as he was when he was 18/19.

Ox should always be played outwide, his passing in the centre of midfield is absolutely diabolical

Ox will be a big player for us this season

The difference is, Sterling got a run of about 30 games until he really started turning it on. Ox is constantly in and out the team, never gets more than 2 or 3 games on the spin. When he gets a run in the team, I think he'll do well.

That's likely a big factor. I was saying all things considered, including his fitness problems and bench warming when fit, and being played in many posittions all over the park, his development hasn't been as quick as I hoped. He looked great in pre-season last year and started our first league game and assisted our first goal in the match and looked lively. It was looking like it would be a massiv season - and then he just had to get injured in that game and miss over half the season. Was pretty frustrating.

Overall, we've been unlucky with our young British players. Too injury prone.

Yep agree, though I'm not sure it's purely luck. We tend to overplay lots of these guys at a young age, and when they do pick up an injury, rush them back.

Ox I think is all set to have a really good season.

Wilshere I just don't know about. I think it's like 2 and a half years now since he got his long term injury against New York Red Bulls and he still looks miles away from where he was before then.

I know what you're saying, but it didn't take Sterling that long to start turning it on. He really hit the ground running for Liverpool.
