Ulloa £8m too much?

I've just seen that West Brom have paid £10m for Brown Ideye, that well known Nigerian player who has obviously impressed some by scoring 33 goals in 74 games for Dynamo Kyiv and 5 in 24 for Nigeria.

So is £8m for Ulloa really too much?

Oh and Irvine has admitted that he's never seen him play either so I think we should count ourselves very lucky that we have Pearson who puts thought into his signings.

I was wondering how Baggies fans feel about this transfer given that a lot of fans feel we have overpaid for Ulloa and Ladbrokes even labelled it as the worst signing of the week.

No doubt the bigger risk of the two strikers signed is ideye.

He has not played in the UK and may not settle at all, whereas ulloa has been here two years so that part isn't an issue.

The reality is that if either one gets 10 goals they will have done well for a bottom end club.

Your fellow foxes don't seem impressed by your summer so far. Dyou not think you needed to add more than Ulloa. A reserve centre half, and a villa reject?

Honestly I would say yes we definitely do need more signings.

I think we'll be ok at centre half because I think Moore, Morgan and Wasilewski will be good enough and Upson should be ok to cover a couple of games against the mid-table clubs at home.

Full-backs concern me because they're not the best at defending, Schlupp is a converted striker so I don't know but they have a lot of pace which could save them.

Drinky and James are good enough in the middle but after that it is a bit of a concern. We need an experience defensive midfielder without a doubt.

I think Albrighton will be very good for us and I think he'll create a lot of chances for Ulloa et al. I know he went off the boil at Villa but he's got ability and will suit our style of play so I'm hopeful.

I'm personally happy with our forwards and I think we have goals throughout our midfield and defence too.

We don't defend set-pieces too well and that's where we conceded most of our goals last season, not through open play. It's possible that Ulloa could make a huge difference and be as important for us in defence as attack.

I think we'll start with;

Schmeichel
de Laet
Moore
Morgan
Schlupp
James
Drinky
Knocky if not injured if not Mahrez
Albrighton
Ulloa
Nugent

I think he will start with Nugent because Vardy will make more of an impact with his pace coming on but I'd personally consider starting him because he is the perfect player for us to get on to the front foot with because he will make Everton think about throwing players forward more than Nuge.

Look I'll be a bigger man here and apologise for upsetting anyone because that was never my intention, I genuinely wanted to have a football debate!

I've taken offence to our players being dismissed because of lack of PL experience but my opinions are my opinions and I'm not expressing them to antagonise anyone. I don't have an issue with WBA as I've stressed before and I genuinely hope you do stay up. I think this season will be tough for you but I wish you all the best 👍

I don't care if any of you agree or not and I don't care about your opinions either 👍

So you're complaining that people think you shouldn't have an opinion but in the same breath state that you're not interested in other people's options!

No i'm not interested in your opinions of me but have all the opinions you want if it's concerning football

Back in July/August last year we had this tw0t, arrothefoxinoz, infesting this site with his football opinions and outrageous personal information. I'm sure he was probably an embarrassment to decent Leicester fans.

However, I think much of his thoughts on Leicester City FC have been shown to be pretty-well correct. When I have seen them live and on TV, they have been adventurous and exciting and mostly unlucky.

It now seems the tide has changed somewhat. LCFC are achieving the results they deserve and will, hopefully survive. Come on Leicester!

Arrothefoxinoz remains a tw0t, though!

It's an educated prediction and we all have bets that don't come off but this group of players are too good to not finish above 6-8 teams.

Off the bat I'll say Burnley, QPR, Sunderland, Hull, Palace, WBA and Villa but I don't rate Newcastle, West Ham or Stoke either and Swansea aren't as good a they were and Southampton have lost a lot of players so feasibly both of them too.

All of these teams have a lot of average players, a few good players but no world class players which means all games are winnable.
