It's only a single case, isn't it?
And the mortality rate of this current outbreak aint that high.. 60% (I previously thought it was 90% - the normal mortality rate for ebola )

The problem is, 20+ Nigerians from the same flight have fled and this far can't be found. Lagos is one of the most densely populated and least clean cities in Africa. I was actually in Lagos airport a couple of days ago, and there was no indication anyone is addressing the threat.

Though I read somewhere that the infection rate is way lower than thought. Like 1 in 360 or something like that..

Not a nice way to go at any rate.

I live in PH, the Ebola victim is a Liberian who travelled to Lagos. He died in a hospital close after been quarantined for weeks. 59 people are presently on the checklist who came in contact with the dead man name Patrick Sawyer according to Lagos State Commissioner of Health.
For now, no Nigerian has contacted the deadly virus, we believe our authorities are untop of the situation.

I was in PH last week.... Sort your bloody roads out!
I'm not so sure the authorities are on top of it as much as you think. There are numerous people who have not been tracked down, and with an incubation period of up to 3 weeks, it could be anywhere by now.....

Our bloody roads???? Are you kidding me? Fine, the roads may not be network as what you have in UK or Abuja, but not as bad as you are painting it. Beside, most of the roads are undergoing reconstruction after years of neglect by our previous military dictators (Nothing like democracy, where you have freedom of expression) thats if you where truely in PH.
On the incubation period of the virus, I think the authorities have been proactive for the first time. I must commend them for arresting the situation at airport at the first instance. We are hopeful they do their best, so we don't have the virus spread. Cos it will be disastrous since there are no cure for it. I also learnt it kills faster than AIDS.
