£30 million price tag on Lukaku

Apparently that's the price, a bit different from a week or so ago when the rumour was £18million plus a few add ons. Looks now like that is the hold up and Chelsea are effectively pricing him out of a move.

There's not a cat in hell's chance of us spending that kind of money on one player and Chelsea must be on something to think anyone would pay it, maybe that's their ploy to keep him.

I can see this one dragging on and could be a Loan deal again!!

Robby could do with focusing on the other two attacking players he's mentioned to make sure we don't go into the new season having no strikers.

A young striker who has shown he can score goals in the PL... on current prices, £30 million doesn't feel unreasonable to me.

Generally, of course it's unreasonable, but given the recent goings on at Southampton, perhaps not so much!

Mourinho will have identified a replacement and he's nearer that price.

Always felt he was a bit overrated (not that he isn't good) Costa went too Chelsea for less than that... Man.. Umm the Bayern striker went to Atletico for just over half that... Overpriced IMO...

You paid £15m for Feillani and you get double the TV money since you signed him, what's the problem?

Their worried some idiots won't turn up 4-6 years later and give them £60M for him...

When he hits a streak he can be brilliant, but he can go missing for large parts of the season. I'd hate to think how much he'd be worth if he'd had a good world cup.

Chabillionaire

We may well have the money, that doesn't mean we should blow it on one player. I won't be a happy bunny if we pay anything like £30m for Lukaku.

Don't forget he qualifies as home grown so that's at least a 20-30% add on.

These are just reports.

An unhappy player, no squad number(allegedly) and no real relationship with Jose.

It's either a sale or at worst a loan. Bobby has made all the right noises about how much he wants Rom, so just sign for us fella
