Dear Mr Levy,
I am writing this letter to demand the immediate cessation of transfer and loan negotiations between our two clubs.
Regarding our recent enquiry for a quality young midfielder, we were very disappointed to see the name Tom Carroll appear on your quotation. Did you not read our customer feedback reports from the last loan period? Perhaps they didn’t make much sense after the copious expletives were censored? Unfortunately this is not an unusual occurrence when dealing with you. Johnnie Jackson, Jake Livermore and Adam Smith were all well below the standard we expect from a company of your calibre.
There is also the issue of your previous cynical opportunism in paying well under the odds for Tom Huddlestone and Gregorz Rasiak, as well as mistreating the former and allowing him to become clinically obese whilst under your stewardship.
It is for the above reasons that we feel it is no longer in our best interests to deal with you. I hope you will obey our instructions and remove us from your mailing and contact lists immediately.
Yours sincerely,
Me
P.S. Thank you for Simon Dawkins. If only your other products were of a similar high quality our business relationship could continue.
FAO Mr Levy

"I think your second answer negates the first though"
Nobody is disputing his technical ability.
But could you imagine him in a PL MF against the likes of Toure etc ??
Yet that is exactly what awaits him as a senior player.
So what does the club do ??
Have training sessions that whenever Carroll is on the pitch the opposite MF players get free rein on excessive body-checking (antics that would normally get a foul in the PL) in order to get him used to it ??
Get him on the weights (and probably have a Spurs physio <standard> where he then gets a muscle injury) ??

If he was that good he'd be pushing to be in the squad on a regular basis
He's 22, a year younger than Holtby and the same age as Eriksen,

Bales, I think you see something in TC that no-ones does though tbh mate.
He is severely inept in two aspects of his game: Decision making & Physicality.
His technique is the only thing he has going for him, and teams in La Liga/Serie A already have plenty of players like him in their own academies.

"He tried, he just didn't have enough matches."
You're so kind to Tommy.

Edin.. I rate the lad, it's that simple. Suggesting Italy or Spain doesn't have to mean Barca or Juve.
RDBD.. the club plays him in Europe and picks games in the league where he won't get kicked so much - the likes of Swansea that don't rely on muscle in the midfield.
Every player develops at a different rate, saying he should be at the level of Holtby or Eriksen doesn't help, and only reinforces my point that we don't value technique like we should, and need to if we want to improve as a nation.

But we only have so many of those games this season.
He needs to be playing as much as possible at the highest level possible, to try and improve to the level where he can be a PL squad regular.
Otherwise, as it stands his senior Spurs career is probably over.

Whilst it is true we do have a great midfield and he might not walk into the first choice line-up, we had an even better midfield a few days ago.
So we for sure know anything can happen with injuries. And that is what concerns me. What if we get another big one? So we do need more cover here as well.
Is he the answer? I don't know but I do trust Stevie.

Suggesting Italy or Spain would have to be a second division team still. La Liga is a step up from the PL and every team has players with significantly more talent than TC. Italian league maybe not, but he isn't good enough to compete with the midfield's in that league (where I feel Serie A currently excels at)

I really don't think it would, Lamela had a stunning first season in Italy yet was deemed too lightweight for the PL. They (Spain and Italy) have more time on the ball and coach accordingly - that's my point - sending him the the championship will just be another season of "wet Wednesday" training by which time his technical ability could be lost, or overlooked completely.
RDBD.. yes mate, I just disagree with the method chosen.
