This news comes as a surprise could have sworn he said he would be available for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers maybe he felt he wasn't fit enough for international football anymore but I would have liked to have still had him in the squad as we are not blessed with an array of good centre backs at the moment but you have to respect his decision and best of luck to him with QPR next season probably one of the best centre backs to dawn the green jersey.

Saw him with his wife and kids on holiday in South of France in June. Its not a big shock, but as you said, we'll definitely miss him at the back!
I wish him all the best and am grateful for all the memories!
I'd love to see Ciaran Clark taking more of a leading role as O'Shea wont be around for long. Who else is coming through?

CB is a weak position for us, O'Shea has been a great servant but we can't rely on him.
I too hope Clarke gets game time as I see him as arguably our best choice, St Legder may fill a gap but long term he's not the solution.
The Stoke lad Wilson can also play CB so maybe him and Clarke for the long term but we still need more.
