Looks like Marca have photoshoped the Michigan stadium crowd from the Man Utd vs Real Madrid match.
The image appearing in Marca shows the 109 000 strong crowd wearing mostly white, while the Getty images photo shows a mixed crowd with the red standing out more:

Why does a club that has just won the Champions League, acquired top talent and make bucket loads every year feel the need to do this!

anyone wonder why the seating area is so flat? There was a pic on the BBC (bottom here http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28627701) - because the distance is so far you can see fack all

Red stands out more than white anyway, you could see by looking at one end behind the goal and it was densely red then compare it to the rest of the stadium

I saw this it's one of the most pathetic things i've ever seen.
Journalism around the world is on a steep decline

Agree. Media nowadays makes me sooo
Apparently they have taken down the photoshopped image, but doubt they've replaced it with the undoctored image.

They say on the website that the photo came out like that as they had an issue with the calibration of the photo. For a news paper that sounds plausible, but for a website it is bull crap.

Getty Images do as the image is their copyright.
They either bought the image from the photographer or (less likely) had their own photographer take the image.
Either way they sell a licence to use the image, providing you don't remove their name.
