*** Beta JA606 Feature for next season ***

Fo over a year(probably closer to two) Admin2 and I had pencilled in a super secret “killer" feature to rival that of the much lauded “geo-checkin".

The code is just about finished and I have one or two bugs to sort out, but we should be able to trial it this weekend, for one of the matches.

So what is this 'feature'?....

What could be better than a live match thread?

Well hammering nails into your own hands would be one answer... But another would be a match thread with not one but two grandstanding commentators(and ja606 denizens )opining into your ear hole during the match. Then after the match forensically analysing the performance whist you nod your head in agreement and post words of encouragement on the thread itself.

So if you are someone who has watched the game at the highest level and if you feel that others would benefit from your knowledge being stuffed into their earholes during a match; you are welcome, along with one other likeminded or diametrically opposed ja606er to give the feature a go. Alternatively if you know nothing about football but sound like Zoe Wanamaker that would work too.

Requirements for the broadcaster are:

1) A PC with flash player
2) A headset

NOTE

To listen to the commentary you will also need flash player.

PS. We have no idea how well this will all work. How stable our new media server will be. Not to mention how we will afford the bandwidth.

PPS. Dont ask about broadcasting video, you filthmonger. I've stumbled across “those" sites and they are dirty.

PPPS. There are probably a few more ideas as to what we can do on ja606 with this technology, but we are just testing the water the now.
