Hull in talks with Neil Danns

Apparently Hull face competition from Leicester, Leeds and Southampton for the services of Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns who will be out of contract next month.

Leicester offer the biggest competition as they can offer the strongest financial package. Would we want him? Squad player as would not get into our midfield at present?

Vital football is run by fans, for fans, anything connected to leeds is likley to be rubbish unless there is a source attached to it, we hear nothing until it's a done deal, Danns was a good player last season, no wonder there is alot of interest, would be a good addition to any champ squad.

I would love Danns at Leeds, but we all know if it is to do with money he'll not be coming to us! If he can be guaranteed to be in the first eleven, to replace BJ or NK (I'm not sure which position Danns plays in midfield) then maybe he will consider us. It depends what his priorities are - lots of dosh or playing regularly!

Tricky to get into our central mid-field. Unless Sven is expecting to lose someone ?!
A good player and probably not the first time this week/month we will hear the phrase "SVG's Leicester.....linked with"

Last season weren't Leeds linked with every player in England

We don't need any CM's. Hammond and Schneiderlin will remain the two CM's.
Hammond is captain and always gets stuck in (I don't think he gets as much credit as he should) And Schneiderlin's technical ability is just brilliant.

A CB, Winger and Striker is priority!

I think we (Leicester) do need a player of this type in our midfield because for all the technically good footballers we have in there (Wellens King, Abe etc.), we still need a tough tackling holding player to sure up that area of the pitch and make sure we don't lose those midfield battles like we did towards the end of last season.

Whether Danns is that man I'm not sure. I still like Alan Smith at Newcastle, I think he'd be a good signing.

Danns is a box to box mf ...would love him at Leeds he was best player on the pitch when they beat us at their place.

He's in Hull for talks today.

We're all not606 by the way, that's why no Hull fan has responded(until now obviously).

Danns is about as far from a tough tackling holding midfielder as you could possibly get.
