I got to tell I am very happy with out transfer policy this summer. We conducted our business in and out early in summer which gives our team enough time to work together as a unit, getting used to each other not like other teams. got nice and hefty profit on players we sold for past 12 months.
arrival of fabregas, costa, curtois, luiz and didi makes us stronger then last year, just get rid of torres and bring lavezzi will make almost perfect summer for me lol.

Kalas was top against liverpool last season so surprised you put him out on loan.

This was a mistake I feel. Kalas could have played a big part this season and potentially have saved us 30 million on a new CB.

I think a lot of it has to do with Andreas Christensen saying he wasn’t prepared to be loaned again, he is a top talent and the club didn’t want to lose him. I like Kalas but think Christensen has the chance to go on and become the better of the two. Had Christensen not come out and said anything I suspect Kalas would be 4/5th choice and Christensen out on loan.

Or perhaps Kalas recognised his fate had he stayed, very limited gametime(cited that he wanted substantial gametime).
Using one match against Liverpool as a barometer(in which we were very defensive) to prove that he should stay, is naive.

Superb I'm sure he has enough control over transfers to make a difference. If he didn't he would not be here. The team that he is left with September 1st I'd assume is the team and squad he believes is good enough to win the league. It's his judgement call now, he can't make excuses at the end of the season talking about squad depth, kids, and team not being prolific enough in front of goal. Has had enough time.

Kevin I agree with much of that but when it comes to Torres I think it's a situation that is out of Jose's control and sadly it could be our undoing this season.
Despite what Jose has said in public I'm sure he is desperate to get shot of Torres just as we all are.

Bluedroog fair point. I haven't seen much of Christensen but if he's potentially better than Kalas then he must be real quality.

We may not be able to get rid of Torres, but there are players in other parts of the squad (ie Cech, Mikel, Romeau) we can look to move on or put out on loan to make room for a new backup striker if we do really need one.
We can work round Torres. I honestly think he will be 3rd choice this season anyway. Costa and Drogba should be good enough imo with Schrulle being the emergency forward. I'd rather we get a back up CB and Pogba in.

I don't know why we would let Salah go, he has had a decent start on what little game times he has got. This is whilst settling into a new league and country in January. Would be disappointed if he was to leave in January. I think he is better than Moses.
