In the excitement of our first game back in the Premiership - let us take a moment to remember the Everton fan - tragically killed 10 years ago when hit by flying debris- If I remember on Upperton Road.
Ordinary fan - supporting his team - but a member of the family of football fans the world over that make the game special -
Don't know if there will be special mention at the match but I know there is a plaque in the Garden of Remembrance so RIP Bernard
Football Fans - a family

Good point Johngee, a poignant remembrance of that poor fella who lost his life supporting his team and sadly too many fans who haven't returned home from a trip to our stadium - Maybe pop it on the Everton and Donny boards as well to let them join in

I remember that happening, although I'd forgotten that he was an Everton fan. It's such a sad thing that anyone should not come home from a football match. RIP Bernard.

We all love our footy. Sometimes some of us might go to far with the banter but it nice to see fans showing respect for others
R.I.P. all that go to a game but never return
