Yesterday

Saw the 2nd half on my dinner break from work and it was undoubtedly a much better performance from Ally and the boys:

1. Wylde on the left and Ortiz on the right created a much better balance for the team. Davis was able to control the middle of the park like he should and personally this spells the end for McCulloch in my eyes. I would put both Edu and Ness before him plus with Bedoya and Mackay coming in, I believe Jig's time is up.

2. How much did we miss Lafferty? It is clear him and Jelavic are the answer up front with Naisy supporting from the middle of the park. Give it a few games and it'll be May all year round I'm sure!

3. Perry and McMillan were excellent. McMillan in particular, I watched the game against Chelsea and thought he was the best man on the park. Both these lads have great promise and should be involved in a few more games this season. Also the emergence of these two should mean Clubfoot gets punted. The Old Firm where McGeady never left his back pocket will always be a fond memory but after 4 seasons its clear he is not Rangers material.

4. Ally freshened it up late in the game, something he has learned from Thursday. Granted using Kerkar and Healy shows how thin we are at the moment but over the course of the season we need everyone to contribute and of those two I reckon Healy could do a more than adequate job once he's more match sharp.

Great day yesterday. Its great to be a Bear!

Definately a great day yesterda, with regards to squad with the number of youngsters appearing now -perry , mcmillan , ness , hutton , fleck , wylde (all have proven then can do a job ) and then the likes of hemmings and a few more who played against chelsea is the squad really as stretched as being made out? Obv yesterday when 13 are unavailable then yes but once these players get granted visa's etc then imo we have enough , I would rather give these youngsters a right go at it this season than sign foreigners to fill up squad numbers ?

Ps totally agree with davis in the middle - again imo it should be ness and davis in the middle as much as possible

Ness will never make it as a footballer with his injury record. Seems he can't play 2 games in a row. its a real shame if he can't shake this off.

true mate and its another blow for scotland as he could have been good cm for scotland in years to come

him fletch adam brown could have been very good

mabye you can manage him carefully play him every other game like fergie does with giggs

but treating a 20yr old like a 37 yr old is not good news

Agree ness is a frustration

With naisy playing well in cm yday we have some options now in that position

Nah don't think so? Although he will need to be careful as the maribor players will prob try and wind him up.

Big laff will be fine , now he wis playing in his right position regularly he will silence his doubters
