Dier is young and might not start all season regardless.

Vertonghen is good but we really should know by now you need at least 3 good CBs in a season with European competition. I also like having the option of playing Vertonghen at FB if we want.

Musacchio would off got absolute battered today, Kaboul was excellent bar one mistake where he got caught in possession in fact on numerous occasions covered Dier when partnered at CB

Kaboul was shambolic in the first half too. Lost his marker at crosses over and over again.

I don't think any of them defended well in the first half, no.

I thought we gave the ball away too easy at times in midfield we really needed a enforcer in there, Holtby would have been a better option

So what's happened to Sandro?
