We had a bit of luck but so does every other team. Spurs lucky Noble missed a penalty scoring in extra time. It seems if we don't win 1st game of the season convincingly we are in crisis.

There are plenty of people on this forum posting about how bad we were. Not like the pundits are the only ones.

To be fair both said that Arsenal usually don't win ugly and they had to today showing that they can win even if playing badly.

i actually think gary Neville was thoroughly annoyed we won.

It's probably because he expected Van Gaal to push on quickly with utd, and they start with a home loss.

Gary Neville is the biggest Arsenal hater. What is his problem?

like I said the utd result put him in a horrible mood.

Last season he quickly lost faith with moyes and almost revelled in their troubles.

Agreed! The passing was pathetic and we're back to crisscrossing the pitch with passes instead of putting pressure on the other team's back 4.

However, at the end of the day 3 points is 3 points!
Man. U. would gladly trade results with us.

To become champions you have to get last minute wins whilst playing badly. You cannot win the title by playing well and winning 5-0 every week.

Uummm..yes you can... 5-0 every week means 114pts with a goal difference of 190.. Pretty much title winning stuff
