So I did . . .
May 2015: Leeds United promoted to the Premiership as champions, after a season playing the kind of skillful passing football we saw glimpses of yesterday. Billy Sharp scored more goals than Ross McCormack. So did Matt Smith. And Noel Hunt.
Manchester United relegated to Championship.
Eric Cantona: Leeds United are no longer a rusty trawler. Manchester United are a bunch of sardines.
Louis van Gaal: I am in charge, I am the head man and I will take responsibility. We belong at this level.
Joel Glazer: We are committed to the future of Manchester United, and to demonstrate that we will sell the club to an English owner called Bates. I understand he will be selling Old Trafford to a friend of his in Manchester, to pay off the debt on the books caused by us buying the club with its own money in the first place [accountants and economists - feel free to correct this bit].
Cellino: No, I will not be buying Messi at that price. Anyway, he disrespected me.

August 2015 - following their relegation, banks tighten up on Man U and they are forced j to administration. The 10000 faithful who are still attending games start a chant 'ten points, who gives a xxxx, we're plastic mancs and we're giving up'

Alright - maybe Noel Hunt is stretching it a bit too far.

Man Utd's relegation causes a mass exodus of players. The only star they have left is Wayne Rooney, mainly because nobody else wants him, completely destroying his future as an international player.
This leads to Roy Hodgson finally able to pick a skilled and balanced England team, captained by Liam Cooper, that storm to the Euro 2016 final, narrowly losing to Germany on penalties.
I'm digressing a little here but I dream big.

Nice one, Tall and Useless, just a slight error at the end. It should read: "He's the missing piece in the jigsaw, said Hodgson of Sharp, after he scored the late winning goal against the Germans, "I wasn't looking forward to penalties against that lot.
