Sound Alikes

Reading about Herbs live commentary stuff, got me thinking about what each poster may sound like.

WITSS refusal to join in with Herb means he didn't want to shatter his know-all persona as he sounds like Joe Pasquale.

I reckon Cinci is more of a Wee Jimmy Kranky and perton like Frank Spencer. He just doesn't bother putting 'Ooohhh Betty' in front of 'I'll get me keys' any more.

How about Pundit is Captain Mainwaring and continuing the Dads Army theme, Herb is Private Pike and gem or ohso as Wilson.

Bute sounds like Victor Meldrew, Wolfgang despite the Germanic connections, is Brian Blessed and Halfy, Ray Winstone.

Tino has to be Tony Soprano.
Cyp is Stavros
Tatter is a touchy Jeremy Paxman and DJ, Simon Cowell.

Unfortunately I have now ruined the site for myself as I can't read anybodies contributions without p1ssing myself.

.......Oh and I sound like Benny out of Crossroads.

Any more?

Fecking Jimmy Crankie

As a child i used to have to look away, i found him/it repulsive, though i was also scared of Worzil Gummidge

Putting a voice to UH was a strange experience yesterday. Would love to know what everyone from the old 606 really sounded like.

I expected UH to sound deeper and with a more matured voice for some reason.

That's because people first associated me with Uncle Albert.

Didn't mean it offensively UH, probably the only fools association yes.

Strange what pictures we paint with so little information.

Not a bad voice for radio though, could be a lot worse.

Wait until you hear mine! can't pronounce three and free so you'll be on score duty.

Being from Essex, I can't say three, through, thought, think etc

I tend to avoid them or accentuate the surrounding context to make it obvious what the hell I am on about.

Easy with all of them except the number 3.
