big kyle .....

It was encouraging to see lafferty play well yesterday and looked the player that has finished the laast 2 seasons so well - its obv coisty wants to get him back fit asap aswell with chucking him in on thurs then a good 75 mins yday

What are your thoughts on the big man now? I've got to say that he looks the part up front and his understanding with jelly n naismith gives us a decent forwardline .

I say give him this season upfront with jelavic to prove he is the striker we need !

I am willing to eat my words over Lafferty. I have criticised him but to be frank he has deserved it with some of his antics.

But he runs his socks off, he has good pace and is decent with the ball at his feet - and of course we can see he is a good finisher.

He may just blossom into a valuable player that justifies his price tag.

I have never bought into the 'he only plays at the end of the season theory'. I think with the right partner in the right position Lafferty could do very well all year round.

Since the days of the old 606 I have always stuck up for Lafferty... outwith the 'non-football' shenannigans... i have always thought he was skillful with a ball and had good pace. Hopefully this is the start of a more consistent run for him and Jelly and Naisy get the best out of him.

I have always been a fan of big Kyle. You just need to watch him to know that there is a good player in there. Sometimes he can be frustrating, but since he has been played as a CF instead of out on the wing. Him and Jelly are a strong partnership. Better than Boyd and Miller IMO

I think we are beginning to get the benefit of persevering with Kyle, not many were willing to
give him the credit some of his performances merited
he was always tagged with the misfit and trouble labels.
His partnership with Jelavic over the ten or so games
have provided Rangers with the goals that our
play has deserved.
