be interesting to see where you'd be if Flamini had stayed back in 2008, the backbone of that team was the Fabregas-Flamini midfield partnership whih you should have been looking to build on

Nah we brought Flamini in on a free because we let Coquelin go on loan who was the long term replacement for Flamini in the first place.

If arsenal had the ability to keep the players happy at the time then Alex Hleb would be a 3x ballon d'or winner by now!

They won't have less games in Europa, it's easy to say play a second string and be fresh for Sunday but that doesn't work that well in practice, look at Spurs last season.

This Thursday/Sunday thing is a lame excuse imo, Benitez did a good job with your lot in terms of balancing the Europa and push for top 4 when he was there. It can be done very easily. I would rather send the youths off the Macedonia or wherever than play the first team in Munich when we know we are going out.

Bats our form was very topsy turvy under Benitez. Whether or not this is from Thursday/Sunday play or not is another matter. So he didn't do a good job in balancing. Another myth to try and "show up" mourinho.
