Player Ratings - Still a long way to go

21,500 was a poor turn out from the fans.

Silvestri - 5 - Poor distribution, at fault for first goal. Must improve a lot.
Byram - 6 - A lot better 2nd half, looks like he darent take ppl on anymore.
Cooper - 5 - Wasnt great, but wasnt terrible, positionally better than pearce.
Pearce - 4 - Tried hard but caught on his heels too much and no pace to keep up.
Warnock - 5 - No real errors, but no real bright points either
Austin - 3 - Would have been a "1" but was a much improved 2nd half, booked after 2mins so darent stick a tackle in rest of game, poor distribution 1st half, decent 2nd half.
Tonge - 5 - slow and lightweight
Bianchi - 5 - wasnt in the game being played on on either side of diamond, needs to be 100% central and advanced.
Murphy - 6 - tried hard, covered a lot of ground but nothing around him, part of a midfield completely overrun
Sharp - 4 - got nothing service-wise...first touch looked poor all night
Smith - 4 - when he starts the team totally ignores the football side of things and he gets it pinged at him from anywhere, poor and too physical (or not clever with his physicallity)

Very poor performance, poor atmosphere, poor tactics, poor substitutions.

Rome wasnt built in a day, but we are minimum of 4 players short. DM, 2 x Wingers & a Striker.

Only positives was the improvement of the ball retention 2nd half...it still wasnt good, but once Smith went off we played much better and moved it around got the ball in to crossing positions rather than lumping it up field.
