The Lions are a dangerous force when they quickly move forward in numbers but they came up against a sturdy team in Blyth Spartans with Vlaar claiming another Man of the Match for his endeavours.

MOTM – Rosicky (FC Pride)

Another draw, but not one without plenty of action

Stockport County 2-0 Taiwan

Goals (Assists)
Stockport County – Rakitic (Deulofeu)
Stockport County – Musacchio (own goal)

MOTM – Deulofeu (Stockport County)

It’s starting to become painful to see Ludy’s Taiwan struggle to win a game. It’s certainly not through a lack of trying nor quality, but the wins just will not come. A change of tactics and similar to those seen by the Netherlands recently but sadly everyone’s favourite Taiwanese lad suffer another defeat Keep trying fella, I’m a big fan of your team even if it’s not showing in the results.

Almost fell out of my chair seeing Stockport play with wingers, and it’s worked first time out – with loanee Deulofeu standing out as a quality player. Stockport seem to play different tactics every week and whilst they failed to second guess Taiwan’s change in tactic they claim the points.

Stockport County
Forster, Clyne, Ginter, Lascelles, Durm, Schneiderlin, Rakitic, Clasie (Hughes), Deulofeu, Muric, Lambert (Ings)
Subs: Horn, Burn, Hughes, Gallagher, Ings

Basingstoke are picking up stride now, despite caretaker manager Park doing a nice job with Barcelona in Di’s absence.

Ramsey is hitting form at just the right time, and he led by example as Basingstoke move up the table.

FL Fart 2 Vs 0 Fishguard Sports

Goals (Assist)
Wijnaldum (Lampard)
Menez (Ronaldinho)

MOTM : Wijnaldum. Used his energy to cover every blade of grass. Was a
constant handful going forward (managed to grab a goal) and terrorised
the Fishguard midfield all day

2 good teams on paper. One very experienced and the other very young.
Both set of tactics read well and it was easy to understand both manager's plans. This was to be a game where experience and power would win the day. I must admit that I liked this FL Fart line up and that imo is a very powerful defence and midfield. This is where the battle was won. Wijnaldum and Yaya were too big a handful for Fishguard's youngsters. Lampard played with experience and controlled things from a somewhat deeper position than usual. His simple but clever passing coupled with the power and pace from the Yaya, Wijnaldum and Menez was too much for the Fishguard youngsters. Give this Fishguard a season or so and it could well be a different story. Welshy has a big star in Gaudino in the centre of the park.

FL Fart
Jefferson, Carvajal, Zapata, Rojo, Armero (Reece James), Lampard (Andreas Pereira),
Wijnaldum, Yaya Toure, Menez, Morata (Isaiah Brown), Ronaldinho
Subs : Howard, Mexes, James, Pereira, Brown

Carvajal, Armero, Pereira, Brown

Fishguard
van der Hart, Veltman, Reyes, Ake, Blind, Gaudino, Höjbjerg,
Andersen, Klaassen, Fischer (Tankovic), Finnbogason (Jovic)
Subs : van Beek, Bazoer, Ritzmaier, Tankovic, Jovic

Veltman, Ake, Klaassen

Notts County 1-2 Southend United

Goals (Assists)
Southend Unied – Sturridge (Berisha)
Notts County – Meyer (Januzaj)
Southend United – Sturridge (no assist)

MOTM – Januzaj (Notts County)

Both teams set up for the counter attack here, with very well written new tactics from Notts County and they can feel unlucky not to come away with anything, Januzaj in particular impressing and this shows in his MOTM award. No limericks from Southend this week but of course in Sturridge they arguably have the most in-form forward in the league, and Geis was another who impressed throughout the 80 minutes he was on the pitch for.

Notts County
Scuffet, Darmian, Manolas, Kongolo, Bernat, Januzaj (Ibe), Iturraspe, Diaz, Depay, Meyer, Alcacer
Subs: Romagnoli, Aranguiz, Ibe, Mastour, Totti
Depay, Alcacer

Southend United
Marshall, Tripper, Wisdom, Lucarelli, Ward, Geis (Rabiot), Pjanic, Berisha, Markovic, Sturridge, Assombalonga (Berahino)
Subs: Thorne, Bijker, Rabiot, Berahino
Berahino, Pjanic
