Is he overated or underated?
I've been told by a few pool fans that he will walk into this Chelsea team
I think he is good young player with a very bright future ahead of him
Arguably one of the best young talents in Europe at the moment but can't see him walking into this current Chelsea starting 11
He has been called the new Messi by Brendan Rodgers before
Thoughts?
Raheem Sterling how good is he?

I don't think it is crazy to not want to swap your player for any other. Firstly you have seen him come through the youth teams, into the reserves and now into the first team and national side and keep getting better and better and at 19, why would you swap that excitement for another player, especially given his potential to be one of the best?

I get what you're saying, but what extent does that go to?
Say if a Ronaldo or Messi swap was available, would you really turn down either of them banging in 40+ goals for you guys for the next few years in hope that Sterling fulfills his potential?

I'd put him in, in the Chelsea first XI. Alongside Hazard and Shirley but then you'll have folks whinging about how those 3 dont have good defensive workrate and they dont track back enough.

In this case, yes I would. Whilst Sterling isn't from Liverpool, he did come into the youth side at 15 and there is nothing more exciting and perhaps rewarding as a fan to see a young player develop into one of the best. Ronaldo has perhaps a few years left at the top, Sterling could potentially have ten!

Of course. Local lad, rose through the ranks into the first team, scored many goals and spent ten years at the club. None of us would have swapped him for anybody.

Think it will be a question of can he keep the consistantcy of performances coming. Very dangerous player on his day, can go past defenders with ease with trickery and pace, but is very slight.
Time will tell with Sterling, i think he can be a top player.

Sterling might be slight but he still managed to dump Vincent Kompany on his ariss when they went shoulder to shoulder last season.
