It is obvious now that Cellino wants to "gain promotion" on the cheap. Let's look at the following interesting facts.
1. The only reason why Hockaday was appointed was because he was a cheap option who would do anything to get the Leeds job.
2. We came for Assombalonga way before Forrest did and would have managed to sign him with much less money than Forrest paid, yet Cellino still did not want to pay that amount.
3. Agard was turned down by Cellino because he demanded "too much", weeks later, he joined L1 Bristol City for less money.
4. McCormack was sold for 11m yet his "replacement" Sharp was signed for much less money.
Most people thought that 7m is too much for Assombalonga, but his performances thus far have lived up the hype --- 4 goals in 4 matches, that is 2 more than we scored as a team. Bet that we all wish that he is a Leeds player...well, too late now.
As for the Hock, the Championship is obviously too complicated for his depth which is fully expected...after all, he was sacked by non-league Forrest Green.
Cellino wants promotion and pocket as much as possible in the process. In other words, he wants to gain promotion on the cheap. But in modern football, you cannot have both. Until Cellino realizes that and starts to spend money on quality players --- players who promotion candidates like Forrest want --- and yeah, Cellino has to cough up a lot of money if we want to sign quality, the only way that we will get out of this league is getting relegated back into the L1.
Cellino is the core of our problems

whiteroselufc, look back at old posts and you'll see you were warned what Cellino is like, TheGreatMagian has got it right. I passed on info of what he does from some friends who are Cagliari fans and believe me they are glad to see the back of him. He gets rid of players he can get money for and brings in cheaper substitutes for them. As usual though, Leeds fans are taken hook line and sinker by anybody who says they are going to get Leeds promoted, as if promotion is better than stability. It seems some of you still have got your heads in the sand, you all must be suckers for the Nigerian scams.

Cellino is giving it a go but not sure on who's advice he signs players. We were crying out for 2 wingers minimum and despite bringing in 11 players we still don't have one at the club. Makes us very predictable and one-dimensional which is why we cannot create anything.

Maybe wingers cost too much for Cellino

Cellino doing a great job so far, if you can't see that you're partially sighted or something. The team isn't complete yet and obviously they are trying to stick to a budget, which makes sense.
If we get Adryan and Sloth I think we will be ok and Doukara looked good also.
I do have reservations about Murphy and Austin, there might be hope for Austin if he can get some intensive coaching.
On the whole I'm quite optimistic about Cellino but Hock makes some strange decision when making substitutions.

Maybe Hockadooda and Austin can go for brain augmentation somewhere. OP could do with some of that too!

Good luck TheGreatMagician, whiteroselufc is obviously on drugs or had a full lobotomy

We have no wingers, who can cross the ball and create the chances, eh?
