Giroud got loads of stick last season, and this season people have been harping on about how we need a new striker because he just isn't good enough.
Hate the man all you want, but so far in the first two games, he has been one of our biggest threats and is the main reason we've started to get results.
And everyone knows you can't argue with results.

He did well today. But he should have had a hat trick. I reiterate what is said above. Good backup material. He showed us what his role should be today.
Coming off the bench.

The way we played in the first half no world class striker could change the outcome or he must be at 100% conversion rate. Who is?

"Ramsey was the player to get us back in it and lift the team.
Does Giroud have that in him?"

You truly are a spas.tic, you know that?

A reasoned argument from you as usual
It was a genuine question. How many times has Giroud been the one to really lift the team and make a difference, particularly if he started the game. Not many, that's for sure.

He only seems to play well coming off the bench. And even then he misses too many chances.

Why cant you just confirm that he saved us from the defeat? Every little chance he had is now a sitter missed or what? My god your hatred is unreal.

He scored more game winning points than any other striker in the league last season you stupid, senile mongrel. But you can't see past your irrational hatred.

I wasn't talking about first half was I? I was talking about the chances that fell to Giroud when he came on. Sure he scored a good goal. But he missed some ridiculous chances too.

You didnt understand me properly, Dubbed. Every chance Giroud now have is a "sitter"? No it isnt. When he came on he shot from the left with a difficult angle. Then he had a chance from the pen spot. Was very close and can happen. You hardly find a striker who put them all in.

I'm sorry. The volley he missed was ridiculous. He should have hit the target. The one in the box was embarrassing. Can't forget the one where he turned and missed as well.

Those who defend Giroud miss the point that most make abt Giroud. Giroud is a 10-15 premiership goal striker. In a good season will get you on top of that range and in a bad season he will get you abt 10 goals.
He missed 3 easy chances yesterday to score one. A better striker would have scored 2 goals and we would have won the game.
Giroud did improve us yesterday but thats not a vindication of Giroud. It is more that Alexis was struggling in that position and playing Theo there will also be a risk. We need a top striker to challenge! Nothing has changed.
