For another attacking player! You would think LVG would have realised by now its the defence you need to address!

ESPN seem certain that Di Maria is one of 3 signings expected this week, one of which is Blind.

I wouldn't have any issue if we brought in blind an de Jong as our last two transfers

We still need steel in midfield and De Jong, would hopefully add that.
Blind is a versatile player but is abit of a late bloomer and is still in the need of ironing out some aspects of his game. But he has the right attitude.

Maybe it was the other way around.

Van Gaal's quotes on not having any wingers of the quality of Di Maria might have given them both a kick up the backside

Spending all this money (and possibly more) in one window feels............odd. :/

Not really the type that discusses the cost of bought and/or sold players, but this time I am a bit dismayed.
There are a number of position on the field that need filling before any such luxury as, an EPL untested, attacking midfielder is brought in. For a start RB, GK and out and out striker are top priorities in any successful teams squad.
The only type of CM midfielder that MUFC currently need is one like 'the pigsticker'.
Unless the figures being banded about are inaccurate (and they invariably are) then he is never worth that kind of money. Not to MUFC anyway. I smell another Veron situation. And I got very excited about that transfer, the difference then was that RvN arrived at the same time and that made me even happier. Now he was a proper EPL striker.

Nothing wrong with Manu spending money they have generated. It's City and Chelsea spending gangsters millions that inflates everything.
