Good huff & puff but again no points from a top side.

For me there is still way too much hoof-ball.....I lost count of the number of times we passed back to Jussi to have him just hoof it up the field. The defenders mostly followed suit by humping it to SKD who can't do much with it.
I never thought much of Dzeko until yesterday but he showed what a center forward should look like.
Another goal keeping error from Jussi. He doesn't seem to dominate his area like he used to. We may come to regret the Ali move.
Zat error and easily beaten at various other times ....time for Wheater ?

On the positive we looked like a diferent team when Mark Davies came on. Klas took his goal well. As for the new signings ....too soon to tell. Lots of good effort from the lads but somat still needs tweaking.

I really can't see how we've sold the wrong keeper. How much would Jussi and Bogdan have brought in?

Al Habsi made a mistake last week, no one picks up on that and instead just focuses on the mistake Jussi made!!

Jussi is past his best. He never used to make mistakes, they are becoming more and more common. AAH would have been a great keeper for years to come.

CC i'm pretty certain that JJ has made a few rickers every season he has played, same with every single goalkeeper in world football. He does seem to do themin front of the cameras more these days tho or maybe thats because we're on the telly more thanks to OC. Leave him alone, he'll save us more points than he loses.

Jussi made a mistake for Silva' shot, bounced in front and swerved abit but should have saved it, he moved a tad late for Barry shot for my liking aswell. That being said, Al Habsi made an awful mistake last week under absoloutely no pressure in which he dropped a tame cross on the floor allowing a norwich player to poke in. That was a much worse mistake, not to mention when he let the ball roll in between his legs against City last year.

Ive said it once, and ill say it many more times, Al Habsi is not as good as everyone says, he shone at Wigan but he still made howlers like Jussi, conceded more goals than Jussi. He's just fondly remembered because of his stint a few years ago.

IF he was as good as everyone said, then a bigger club than Wigan would have come in for him, no disrespect to Wigan obviously.

the £4m was needed to re-invest in the squad more than Al Habsi was needed. With that we have signed Eagles, Mears, Reo-Coker and Pratley, who is to say we couldnt afford them without those funds.

OK...well let me rephrase it, then.

We're using the wrong 'keeper.

Bogdan should be starting. If he doesn't get experience now, when will he?

And I don't buy the argument that if Al Habsi was any good, a bigger team than Wigan would have come in for him. Who, exactly, has been after Jussi recently? How many times has he held back on signing a new contract waiting for a 'big club' to come knocking. But they never did...

He's just not as good as he used to be. To be honest, I think Wembley finished him off.

We'd still have got £2.5m for Jussi, I reckon.

Bogdan will get experience in the cups and if Jussi can't play. Thats enough at the moment for me.

Also you're valuation is way off, we'd be lucky to get anywhere near £1.5m for him, Jussi has two seasons left in him.

You cant say no one is after Jussi and then say we could have got £2.5m for him in the same post.

Hes definitely not as good as he used to be, and i think Bogdan should be our number one, he definitely should.

Coyle saw all 3 keepers day in day out, he could literally stand there and compare them...obviously Al Habsi wasnt worth keeping and the £4m was too good to turn down for a keeper he has stated was inferior to both Jussi AND Bogdan anyway.

Al Habsi is a good keeper, what i said was if he was as good as people said, raving about him, then he would have gone to a bigger club this window seeing as Spurs, Villa, United etc needed a new keeper.

Id have Bogdan over Jussi now though.

I think Bogdan should be given all the cup games this season to get that bit more experience. I dont think he's ready to be our Number One just yet but he has the potential that is for sure. If Bogdan made a similar mistake as JJ then it would probably affect him more mentally, given his age and inexperience, than it will do to JJ.

I don't think I said no-one came in for Jussi. I think I said no big club came in for him. I'm pretty sure we could have flogged him off to Wigan instead of Ali.

Never the mind...

At least we seem to agree that Boggers should be playing instead of Jussi.

I definitely think that selling AAH was a huge mistake. I think he has the chance of being every bit as good as Jussi was. Man Utd and Villa plumped for keepers who are much better than Jussi, I have no idea why Spurs are leaving Gomes on the bench though.

AAH was massively better than Bogdan, he could have been our number one for at least 5 or 6 years.
