.... please don't play Lucas or Johnson tonight. I want us to win the game instead. We deserve it, we were cheated out of the win last season, Sterling et al etc. But with either, or, worse, both in the team we've got an uphill struggle. Moreno must surely get the nod over Glen, whose performance against Southampton last weekend was poor.
It's time too for Emre to get the nod over Lucas. Can for me is a very solid player, he's got the power to get stuck in, without giving the needless free kicks away in dangerous paces, as Lucas does ad nauseum.
We really do need to win this one, time to put the marker down.

Did He not balance it up at Anfield where Bitey should've been off for diving and punching the ball away in your area in the last minute is seen as ok?

PPD, Manquillo before Glen for me any day. He really put in a shift against Southampton. OK, that's only one competitive game but can do the one thing that is far beyond Johnson: defend.

I cant see Johnson not starting and I dont really mind that to be honest though I would prefer to play Moreno and Manquillo, perhaps too early for that. Its Lucas that would surprise me if he did start. Both Allen and Can should be well ahead of him. Lucas should only play if we dont have Gerrard.

Never ever ever ever ever ever should you play an inexperienced player ahead of a recognised regular in a position that your opponent is likely to target.
Playing Manquillo (who did brilliantly last week) and emre can at the same time is asking for trouble.
the "bib method" seems to be the most likely line up. Moreno is "inexperienced" in england but has well over 40 matches under his belt. Also, The gerrard hendo duo in midfield wont change (and shouldnt) and the 3rd player should be capable of tracking back... that leaves 2 players (with experience): Lucas and Allen.
Yes, Can and Moreno have similar appearances, but Moreno doesnt have to displace anyone on that side with Enrique out injured again (I believe).
