Ladies and Gentlepeople’s I remember very recently I told this board I had seen a couple of pre-agreements/MOU that we were going to sign 2 players. One from Madrid and one from Dortmund, one was a wide man and one was a central midfielder. I was of course unable to disclose their identities.

To protect my source, I threw a lot of names into the mix like Khedira, Hummels, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Reus and admitted to a few posters, I was yanking their chains with those names.

I confided in my good friends on the Devil’s Head thread that we were signing Di Maria and Gundogan. Moyes had done the ground work for Gundogan but LvG was concerned about his recovery from fitness and vetoed the transfer. Of course I was ridiculed as no one in the press had picked up on it but hey, ho, such is life.

Immediately LvG was hired, he did advise Woodward he wanted Di Maria and that prompted the pre-agreement/MOU. However, PSG came into the picture and he wanted to stay in the CL so had discussions with them and we were advised that he would like to explore that option and things were in limbo. When PSG could not fork out the cash, he came back; like Nasri did but this time we were ecstatic to finish everything. We had representatives in Spain last week and showed him his package from Utd and one of our coaching staff I understand explained the philosophy and the role he’s going to play at Utd. Yesterday, contract was signed, sealed and delivered.

Madrid initially wanted a figure close to 75m but Di Maria pushed this through. When I first saw the agreement(s), I did not believe it as well but shared the info because I was excited about it. I did get dogs abuse for it including name calling, you wum, liar, etc.

Ideally I would come here now and gloat but I’m just pleased we completed the transfer as I like a lot of you on here struggled to see what we could do to get him. This is also why I have been a great defender of Woodward. Now, I am not claiming to be ITK, I just have a mate, a Utd fan like all of us who shared some info with me which I in turn shared with you all. Pleased it has gone through. So chuffed.

I know we get a lot of nonsense in the press and from twitter but we should not cast aspersions on the integrity of upstanding members of the forum like me. I do like being mischievous but it is done with the best intentions .

I conclude with the following; I understand there are 2 more signings we could make, do not know who they are, so do not ask but do not think they are big money signings and for our rivals, be very afraid. Very, very, afraid! We will be back a lot sooner than a lot of you think.
