I think Coutinho has been worse. He was rammal against Southampton.

Fact is BR has spent over £60m on the defence and has an £18m centre back that he doesn't use. Why wouldn't Manquillo start if Glen is that bad?

He's a big lad, I've always felt he could do with being a stone lighter myself, and he played a lot of football when he was young which I'm not a fan off.He's also quite explosive.

It does smack of burn out ala Torres and Owen. Sad really as he is a good pro by all accounts.

Only 2nd game in but the signs are there that the team will be in the mix again come the final reckoning.

City away at the start of the season was always going to be tough one. We looked good in parts and the shape was good.

We'll have enough to earn the crucial points when it matters.

The next fixture will be more revealing.

I think you more than matched them for 40 mins. After that though, City were in control of the game.

Even if you lost, nothing is decided this early on, there is still 36 matches left. You've got the hardest/second hardest league fixture of the season out the way already. You move on.

How doesn't it make sense? You don't think that an away game against the best team in England influences whether or not BR plays a 20 year old in a back 4 with another kid making his debut?

If you're good enough you're old enough. Either Manqillo is better or he isn't. I don't see teh relevance in the size of the game as this discussion is about quality.
