last night.
Pellegrinis patience, effiency and power > Rodgers brainless Kevin Keegan-esque all out attack.
Defence were outstanding especially Clichy, Kompany and Demichelis did a great job in frustrating the overrated Sturridge.
Jovetic is like a new signing fantastic finishing for both goals and Aguero came on and does what he does best...Looks very sharp!
Very happy so far two wins and we haven't even been at our best...We go again
Great result

I thought we got it tactically spot on last night bee were sitting a lot deeper than we normally do and set as the counter attacking team to match Liverpool, we didn't allow them the space behind our back line. They had a lot of the ball in the first half but didn't create much with it.
They will be right up there again though.

I think we may have 4 x 25 goal strikers, assuming the Beast doesn't get sold, and comes back as he started last season, not how he finished it. Pel wil pick and choose to pick on teams defensive weaknesses I think, and I think the midfiled will also vary to pick on particular teams foibles (so Yaya/Fernando/Fernadinho for instance will just bully Arsenal off the park), so we may not have as much of a 'settled' XI as some teams but see most of the squad used, but not just in aimless tinkering as some managers have done in the past elsewhere. Glad to see the Jovetic we thought we had signed has turned up, perfect timing!

We were well drilled, we knew Pool would come at us as Rodgers has no other way of playing.
Organised at the back, soaked up the pressure and bang! hit them when they switched off.

Our two previous games with Liverpool were really tight. Last night was a pretty clear win. Liverpool looked decent, but if they were the better team at any point last night I never saw it. City looked composed to me - apart from 5 minutes after conceding. Liverpool didn't look coherent going forwards, and looked always open at the back.

I can actually say that I literally laughed out loud last night at Kun's goal.

Reflections on last night cause me to think about the Aguero and Jovetic pairing. There was a real zest and enthusiasm about Jovetic which when coupled with Aguero's pace and guile, would drag defences all over the place. Certainly hope to see it at some point in the season.

Also, this backheel thing seems to be very fashionable at the moment.

Kami they did look the better team in the first half ..... if you watched the biased editing on the sky highlights. If you saw the first FULL 45 mins then I thought honours were about even.

I didn't realise Pellegrini and Rodgers played in a one man team last night.
