What antics? His behaviour is generally exemplary, when was he last sent off?

He might throw his arms around or have a tantrum now and again, no different to most captains/ leaders, he is just a little metrosexual in doing so.

His professionalism and discipline can't be questioned. I think there is a level of ego-centrism about him that isn't necessarily healthy to team dynamics, especially if his performance levels begin to decline and it doesn't make sense to build the team entirely around him anymore.

He was a great player for us but I'd rather remember him before he became a total knobber.

True, but the titles he has won, as the main man of the respective sides speak for themselves.

The bloke is a phenom and to reject the opportunity to sign him because he knows how good he is is ridiculous.

Suarez and Messi have similarly huge egos but they'd also be welcome.

He will come back to United. Next season.

Both of the above strike me as being far more team-orientated players than Ronaldo. That's not to deny his quality and what he brings to a team. I just don't feel that keen on having him back when he is on the decline. Could be a bit of a weight on our back.

That's a fair point, but when is he due to decline, 2/3 years, maybe?

As for the point on Suarez and Messi, Messi does a little work off the ball as Ronaldo and he is well known to be more than awkward when a team mate threatens his status. Barca are all about Messi, everything goes through him and that is the reason they aren't as good as they once were, imo.

Messi just walks through 95% of games RR. He's been like that for at least the last couple of years

people need to accept that the Ronaldo years are gone and wont come back,stop living in lala land, why would anyone want Ronaldo back? so he can come to United get himself one last big contract? even if he comes back he wont be the same player eve again,

when we had Ronaldo, we used to cruise the Title in 2nd gear.
While Ronaldo gets a PFA shout in 2nd gear as well.

With both on form? Treble shout! And i dont mean the shtt treble which involve a Capital One cup.

I feel we united continue to struggle, Ronaldo will at some point be parachuted in to save the day (with lots of money of course).
