Man Utd are riddled with astonishing arrogance right now. Entire club top to bottom in a transition period with zero confidence and we turn up with a patchwork team and just expect to win? No clue why we rested so many given this is one of only three trophies we can compete for?
People can say we have enough quality but did we? Fringe players that haven't played all season and youngsters coming into a team with zero confidence.
No shock to lose but to get thrashed. I'm sorry but we have to get back to basics. We aren't in a position anymore to think we have bigger trophies to go for.

Absolutely spot on OP

We went into this game with only two trophies we had a realistic chance of winning because the PL title is light years from our grasp.
Now there's only 1 left and that competition doesn't start for another 4 months.
No idea what the thinking was tonight but it clearly wasn't thought about enough.
Imagine if we lose at the weekend. The guy will be under pressure already.

The team lvg put out was a disgrace.

Wouldn't you say it is a bit of damned if we do, damned if we don't?
Considering we have an absurd amount of injuries atm, risking our more important players may be detrimental for league play. I thought that team massively under-performed and should have been good enough to not lose by 4 goals.

There are certainly no easy games in the Premier League now and if you take liberties with the lower league teams they can do you over on the day.
Very poor from LVG and it simply won't do to get pumped by a lower league team for such a big club. BR warned LVG it won't be easy and so far he's been proven spot on.

Article is spot on, you ask anybody on this board where we will finish and minimal expectation is Top 4.
This isn't the MUFC of 2 years ago, it may only be one man who left but he was the spirit and philosophy of the whole club. We are no longer destined for greatness, we are no longer a side that teams fear and that is rubbing off on the players.
I tell you finishing top 4 this season will feel as good as any title we have won, I just don't see it happening.

Our injury situation dictated the team selection tonight. What was sent out there should not have put in a performance like that. They let the club , themselves and most importantly they let lvg down and they will pay the consequences

He won't make the same mistake again. I think it was more ignorance than arrogance - he can't be expected to know how tough lower league English teams can be compared to all over nations he's managed in.
He'll go all out to win the FA Cup as he will know by now that United have no chance of top 4.
