Looking at Poch's formation. Unless Tom Caroll can be deployed as a deep lying midfielder I can't see where he fits in.
He's not an attacking forward so that means he can't play in the 3 behind the striker unless he adds goal scoring to his skill set. Similar to Ramsey
He's not Defensive or Strong enough to be a deep lying midfield to break up and launch attacks or protect the back 4.
Sadly think this loan is prelude to a sale.
Will Tom Carroll ever fit in at Spurs?

I really don't see him at Spurs for much longer, unless he has a stormer at Swansea this season I can see him going in the summer.

Reckon the academy will have paid for the new training centre within the next 5 years.

Bentaleb isn't either. As long as the playmaker is sat alongside Capoue or Sandro they don't have to be an extra defender, the eye for a pass and ability to play it under pressure are what counts.
I rate Carroll highly, I'd be disappointed if he left without getting a decent run in the team. Swansea should be prefect for him.. he'd better get games

would you trust a midfield of Caroll and Capoue against a Top 3/4 team?

Not right now, but I wouldn't have trusted Bentaleb last season from what I'd seen of him. I guess we'll find out whether he can hack it in the PL without the risk.
