UFC Fight night 48 in Macau, China.
2 fights in, 2 split decisions, both splits caused by judge Howard Hughes:
If you are not happy with the officiating, simply remove the offending judge....That's the kind of power you have as a promoter when you travel abroad and are not subject to the rules and regulations of local athletic commissions!!!
Asked about the situation Dana White said:
"Did you ask me sir, if it was true, that a judge was removed? Yes, he was. He was involved in the first fight and the second fight. I told the guys to go let him grab some beer and some popcorn and go sit down and start watching some fights, not judging them."
The fights in question were both 135lbs fights, 1 male & 1 female:
SPOILER ***********
Milana Dudieva vs. Elizabeth Phillips --
Dudieva wins via split decision (30-27, 28-29 and 30-27)
Royston Wee vs. Yao Zhikui --
Wee wins via split decision (29-28, 27-30 and 29-28)
Both fights i saw as dominant victories...not close rounds, too close to call etc etc...they were dominant in at least 2 of the 3 rounds.
Never ever seen this happen, or heard anything like it before...anyone know of any stories like this in judged sports?
Good on Dana, maybe a bit of a power head sometimes but he obviosuly wants whats right for the UFC and its fighters.
To Judge or Not To Judge...

theres a lot of money goes down on boxing and UFC betting also, a man can make big money betting on split decisions and plenty of people lost money when Mayweather and Pacquiao fights were judged as split. To me anyway this judge here was bent as fack.

Check the Bisping/Le fight for the total destruction of Le's face!!!!!!!
Saw bendo...couldnt believe it myself....shame Dos Anjos's victory will be marred by the "controversial" side of the stoppage!! He looked good!!
I think Dana did the right thing and early enough for it not to trouble the higher ranked/more popular fights & fighters on the card...its a shame for the fighters, putting themselves through hell for a few months away from family etc, just to be robbed by some bloke looking to earn a few extra £££/$$$ but that is life!!!!
Messiah i remember seeing something about her yeah, boxing is a massive money business, and after Horse Racing probabaly one of the most corrupt!!
Real shame that the people who probably got in to the sport as a fan, who loved the sport can be part of the dirty side of it, spoiling it for the millions of others around the world
