With Napoli crashing out of the CL, should we test their commitment with a cheeky bid?

All the haters on one thread.
I never said that Giroud is clinical. I never said he should lead our line the whole long season.
I assumed that the OP wants to buy us a striker that is more clinical than Giroud and click when games are tight and we need someone who can score goals. To name Higuain in that regard is laughable. He is not clinical and dont score against the big boys regularly neither he is a decisive team player.
Who is now the clown? Go on.

Would you not agree that Higuain is a better option than say Sanogo or Campbell, Gt?
If you do then you must be able to see how he would massively improve our squad, no?
Of course, for the money he would cost us he would command a starting position, the one previously held by Giroud. But seeing as we 'only' paid, what... £12m for the Frenchman, that would be pretty much the going rate for a backup striker.
Improve the first XI, improve the squad
As it happens, I think Higuain is more a dream than a likelihood. Which is a shame...

Higuain is 2x the striker Giroud will ever be. And the Argentine would destroy teams behind our midfield.

The question is Higuain better than Giroud is irrelevant, Lex. That is not my point.
We want to buy a striker who is better and more clinical than Giroud especially in big games?
So if you agree with me and I am sure you do, Higuain is not our man. He is not clinical enough against the big boys and he is not the one who often turns up in big games and helps you out in tight important games. That is my point. I hope all the haters now get it and dont bore me off with the assumptions that I would defend Giroud here
Wenger rates him. Like it or not and he is essentials in Wenger's plans. Like it or not ffs.

Yeah right of course he is a better option as Sanogo who is raw and Joel who isnt a CF in the first place. We could have bought Higuain earlier. For the price of over 30M Wenger thought he is not worth it and I agree with him.

He's a better option than Giroud as well.
