Why Leeds

Just got my tickets for the Leeds game on Saturday and was hit by an inner thought.....why are you going?

Yes it's local for me, and yes we meet up with some Leeds fans for a beer and a chat about lower league football.

Yes last season's rout was the highlight of our away matches, but I'm not going with anything other than dread. It is as if someone has filtered out the enjoyment, the desire, the sense of common cause and replaced it with impending doom.

Supporting your club is an addiction and I think I'm going through Cold Turkey. People on here have talked about how draining the whole DF style and experience has been, and I think it's getting to me as well.

Anyhow, I'm hoping for a change in fortunes, but I fear the little voices of doubt are getting louder by the game.

MT don't worry you're not alone I've felt like that for the last couple of weeks and hate myself for it but if it meant rid of Dougie and his crew!
I've now started to think would I take relegation if it also meant Gartslime leaving!

MT. No shame in the way you are feeling. I have already withdrawn my attendance at games. Not a decision taken lightly after the thick end of 50 years following the team home and away. Blind faith no more I'm afraid.

Not wanting to push anybody over the edge except DF
Earlt team news looks like Lonergan, Davies and Beckford have booked their places. Its just a question of which other chickens will join them.

Rumours abound of the ghost of Mike Reid controlling Doug by visions during the night. The team are sent out to the famous word "OK Kids Runaround".

Even Rovers have turned things round ,can you see us having to refuse a bid of £12mil for any player
Chicken farmers are doing better than Garty .

Only reason I'm not going is its £34 and £39 if decide on the day. Ridiculous price for a championship game. If it was £20 then I would be going.

Benny - agree - pricing is too high for this level of football, but we've got the tickets now, so I wait in anticipation for the entertainment to commence............

I see this as at least a 2-0 loss, maybe more because the Leeds players will be super keen to impress the new boss while ours will basically be sent out by the only man who can make Gary Megson look exciting and charismatic.

I wish a defeat would be enough to get Dougie sacked but it won't be. In fact I doubt the board will even consider it until after the january window and even then they'll delay if we're anywhere outside the bottom 3. I hate to say it but I can even see him getting a new deal if we survive because of course the board will love a guy who bases his entire strategy on not going down while happily making sure our best players all go and massively inferior replacements come in at a lower wage.

Not many of our so called best players have really gone on to anything.
