Kranjcar Evening Standard

Just read an article in the Evening Standard. Kranjcar commenting on the Modric to chelsea deal. He said nobody can judge him because he has given three fantastic years service to Spurs and that he deserves respect.

Firstly lets say, Modric has given us maybe two years of his best. Secondly, supposedly he is not in the right frame of mind to play tonight, surely that is a lack of respect to the club. I would compare his situation to Nasri, he managed to put in a commited performance for Arsenal despite his future.

Also we took the chance on Modric where other clubs might have been concerend about his slight stature to cope in the premiership and without Spurs he may not have been in the situation where a club is offering him £150k a week.

I think Kranjcar comments are a little disrespectful. In my mind Modric should have made himself avaliable tonight. I know that I myself think less of him as a professional now and would be grudge him his big money move!!

Yeah I know, no point in keeping him if he really dont want to be there. Yeah they did but Man U will obv be a totally different prospect. All for Livemore playing tonight, he will give his all to prove himself, we see if he is really up to it too!

Every five minutes there is someone from our club gobbing off somewhere in the media. Good for individual quick fixes for their egos but bad for morale and the club in general.

Management needs to sort out the discipline at the Lane, it's getting silly now.

niko made some really positive comments lately. this is a bit of a shame, but he can hardly dis his international team mate when put on the spot can he ?

Yeah I know I dont expect him to slag off Modric, he should have just declined to comment out of respoect for Modric and the club.

Yeah your right, just because a journo asks a question dont mean it has to be answered, you'd think they be bored of answering these sort of questions anyway. Harry dont help with his openness!

Niko looked good against Hearts and Livemore seemed decent enough.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lets be honest looking good against Hearts was hardly difficult was it neither will be good enough to play against top class prem opposition in the CM.

As for Modric dont sell I say even if it cuts our nose of to spite our face I wonder how all those that cheered him at WHL the other week feel now.

I said i wouldnt comment on any more Modric/Cheslea articles but...
If he isnt in the right frame of mind for tonights game, I suggest Harry finds a good reserves match for him to keep himself fit, and see how that improves his mental clarity.

And if I were Levy, I would offer Him to overseas clubs to deny both Him and Chelsea their wishes for the way both parties have acted over this debacle.

I also dont think Levy will lose face by selling him now, even though he has said he definitely wouldnt - Levy expected all parties to be professional and honourable like himself (if you can't tell, im a Levy fan)

Like the OP said, Niko should button it, but the example is set by Harry, if he kept a lid on things then maybe the players would aswell?

Chelsea deserve him, he's too good for Spurs.

And don't have a go at us blues for wanting him. There has been no 'tapping up'. We made a bid, that was rejected, and you lot made it public. Levy made some statements, and Harry talks about Luka 5 times a day to every journo. You have added fuel to the story and encouraged us to make further bids.

Luka wants to come, and Harry is shamelessly trying to make us offer big money for Modders so he can wheel and deal for new players in the market.

Honestly, pathetic.

There has been tapping up - plainly obvious.

Chavs made it public to the media to stir it up well before Levy announced they made a bid, the only reason Levy made a statement was to shut up Chelsea`s media bitchez.

Spuds made it public.

And the Daily Fail first reported it, along with the Telegraph, whpse head writers hate chelsea.
