Di maria

He played there a bit for Real last season but as Di Di said not in a midfield 2, he would usually play left of a 3 with Alsonso and Modric who combined offer far more defensive support than Fletcher and Mata.

If we want to continue to play di Maria there then IMO he would need 2 less attacking players with him, those 2 would preferably come from Herrera, Blind or Carrick.

But then that means no space for Mata. What I would do to fix that and give us even better balance would be to drop either one of Rooney or RVP and hve Mata further up the field playing behind the loan striker, that would also mean Mata not having to track back as much as he's been asked and concentrating on what he does best.

Finally a midfield with pace. Now be composed, keep the ball, use the brain, get the win.

Why wouldn't he? Big pay rise, moving to a bigger league and a bigger club (I know Ajax are big too). I'm 100% sure the deal will happen.

RVP can't even take easy chances anymore, feel sorry for Di Maria as that could have been assist of the month.

Di Maria would have had 2 assists if RVP and Mata could shoot.
