PREVIEW |
Pochettino's men have enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, beating West Ham and QPR in the league whilst winning both home and away to AEL Limassol in their Europa League qualifier.
Liverpool started the season with victory over Southampton at Anfield two weeks ago, but suffered defeat to champions Manchester City on Monday night.
Spurs will be looking to avenge heavy defeats against the division's top teams this season, none more so than Liverpool who ran out 4-0 winners at Anfield in March and a 5-0 triumph earlier in the season at the Lane.
In the last six league meetings between the two at White Hart Lane, Tottenham have won five times, with four victories all being by the same 2-1 scoreline and the other a 4-0 win in September 2011 - Liverpool's only win was last season's 5-0 thumping in December.
Tottenham started the weekend top of the table, and will return there should they win by three or more goals - whilst a win for Liverpool will see them at least into the top six later tonight, and a win by at least three goals would see them move above Spurs in the early table on goal difference.
