I doubt during the summer.
But if we are not looking good in the PL at Christmas, I could see a potential transfer request being made before the Jan deadline.
And it wouldn't be nothing akin to the Campbells and Berbas in
terms of behaviour.
The last thing we need is the striker debacle of the last 3 months continuing into next season too, to trigger such thoughts.
There is more at stake now IMHO than points dropped.
Especially now that the rags are claiming Romanoilsky is looking at Modric as a key to re-sparking the woeful Torres (a move across town is more dangerous than to Manc land) .
Modric - a departure could be possible

I really want to know what inspired the media to start the 'modric to yanited for 20mil' nonsense, my suspicion (eerily like the berbatov saga) is that yanited TOLD the media outlets to say this.

You just know that we're doing something right when SAF comes sniffing around our dressing room.
Harry has too much of an ego for him to let go any player who can get him the glory he so desperately seeks.
Of all his players, Modric is his most golden and magic of boys! He'd sell Bale into the Thai lady-boy sausage-guzzler market before he sells our Moddy.
And Harry loves Bale!
Old Bacon Face has got no chance with this one. Let him go and turn Arsenal into his new feeder club. Word is that he'll be signing Nasri within the next few days
