David Henen...

Henen nears Toffees move

Posted at 14:33

BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty: "Everton will finally complete the signing of Anderlecht's young striker David Henen today - seems to have been on Merseyside forever.

"The club are also trying to do one more deal - probably a loan - but that's not a certainty at this stage."

And about time too!

Martinez wanted them yes! Does that mean that they are quality? No! Roubles granted he is a young keeper but has looked dodgy each time I have seen him. Alceraz don't need to say anything about him. Kone true been unlucky with injury since he joined us but personally don't think we should have signed him in the first place.

Robles is a young guy who is backup to a keeper second only to the big man in the last 30 years, but Martinez played him in cup games, he is here while Bobby is. I think getting Chris Woods back as A GK coach would e a wise move as look what he did with Howard.

Kone was bang out of luck, once he was fit after Ramadan last summer he looked to be a great option, Lukaku, Kone and Eto'o are three main men supplemented excellently by Naismith

If you don't like Alcaeaz then you don't like him. Every player has bad games, he filled in for Jags and Distin along with stones and did well in my opinion.

If I based my view of a player on a run of games after Xmas then Mirallas would be shot. But he blows hot and cold and fans remember a run/shot but forget the times he gifts possession and puts someone at the back under pressure.

I guess it's all down to a point of view that you take

They play in royal blue so will do for me

Imo martyn was better than Howard. Kone the only game I have seen him play well was against us in the cup. Alceraz is just not good enough imo. Now supporting players at the club is good but blind loyalty because they wear the shirt isn't.

I say Howard, Big Nige is your pic.

Only one way to find out!

I support the players yes, my faith in Naismith shows that. When others called into judgement Bobby keeping him. Or when Ossie was given dogs abuse, yet week in/week out he performs.

Some fans(not you directly) will always find an outlet for dissatisfaction. It's normally not the flair players who get the stick, as I said Mirallas is a key contender for getting away with abuse by scoring 5 wonder goals a season......yet fluffing his easy chance against Arsenal when put clear through.

Would others get the same treatment?

Keeper fight??? 😉 I admit I didn't rate Naismith when he was getting played out wide by moyes and if he was continued to be played out there now he certainly wouldn't merit the jersey imo. Osman is now best kept to a bit part player imo he has something to offer but not as good as players in the squad imo. Big vic scored about 5 goals a season but the difference between him and kev is that you know kev can go past a player with pace or a bit of trickery. I admit I have a go at players chairman evenanger if I think they deserve it. Although usually somewhere like here, with my mates or in the buzzer. The game is the time to give the players and club 100% support imo

Big Vic or Kev

Big Vic could go past a player etc, yet when he did what Kev does week in/week out I thought he would be ran out of town by some

Thing is, one good/key performance and all is forgotten.

Howard wins as he has managed more games due to his age. But if we got Big Nige when they wanted him first time round then he would be the winner, he was amazing.

I think both don't play to their full potential, both have more to give and are lazy.

Kev came out and said he wants to be the main man, a match winner. He needs to do more and perform to the level he did in patches against Chelsea.

I missed that Howard has played more good games over the years due to his age. I am sure Big Nige would have done as well if not better. But I can only go on what Tim has done over a longer period. Both are/have been great players for us.

If I used games played only, then that would be a little silly
