LVG and Woodward have done one major thing I've always questioned about United and that is our ability to bring in big names,so fair play.

Now can we please start winning games.

Today has been surreal. Even W&R had a serene air about him. Last time I saw Stretty he was very unhappy though, so at least there is that piece of reality to hang on to.

I don't think there would have been many people who wouldn't have taken this summer's dealings if we'd offered it in June. To recap:

- One of the Prem's best left backs, with potential to be world class.
- Argentinian centre back who played in the WC final and was put in the team of the tournament (albeit playing at left back)
- DM who performed well at the WC and was voted best player in the Dutch league last season.
- Highly rated tenacious, good passing young Spanish central midfielder
- World class winger / midfielder who was the MOTM in the CL final and one of Real's best players this season.
- One of the best strikers in the world.

We could quibble that the midfielders and defenders are players with potential rather than proven performers, unlike the more attacking superstars, but I think we've addressed most of our areas of weakness, adding lots of quality and flexibility to our side.

Hard to argue that

I said to Melts earlier, if someone suggested we'd be buying these players this Summer back in June, I would have called them a wum

I wasn't massively impresses with spending a fortune on Falcao when I first heard last night unless we were planning on selling RVP

After hearing the rumour about the operation today, it certainly makes more sense now

At the beginning of Summer, people wanted the midfield, left back, CB and possible a winger all sorting

hard to argue we haven't gone 80% of the way there in one window

Maybe it's best we don't panic and get another fellaini. I think we have enough until January to swoop and get Strootman.
