Welbeck or Balotelli?

Who would you go for if you had 16m to buy one of these guys? I know who I would go for

Both have prem experience, Both are striker (I think). Balotelli is 24 and Welbeck is 23, so roughly the same age in terms of football.

Anyways hopefully Alan Smith is right about him and What Jason Robert said about we can turn his career around similar to Sturridge when he went to Liverpool. I can see the similarities but can't see Wenger doing his magic on him esp starting on the back foot before he's even signed

Edit: I don't mind Welbeck I reckon he can be decent for us. He can get 15-20 goals for us which is similar to what Giroud got but Welbeck got more pace. The only thing I'm worried about is the fact next year when we all crave for a WC CF, you just know Wenger will say we got Giroud, Walcott, Sanchez, Welbeck, etc

Now Danny has left the club I can talk freely about him without being accused of bias...

He's a very good young player, still a little raw, but with first team football he can become a quality player (let's say the rank below World Class) had a goal to game ratio for us of 0.75 when he actually played striker last season.

Has a pretty decent goal to game ratio throughout his career in the no.9 position. Just don't expect much goal scoring from the wing from him. A better conversion rate from his shooting last season than Balotelli as well.

I am actually quite gutted United have sold him, was hoping we'd loan him out for the season. One of the best back up players we have had in recent years!

"Initially he may look like a bad signing but honestly lads you have potentially just replaced Thierry Henry"

--------
His style is very Henry like for sure. Needs to polish up on his finishing big time to even get compared ability wise though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If I recall, and stand to be corrected, henry learnt that under Wenger too? Was all about pace and providing initially?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Henry was a world class potential from before, Welbeck never looked world class. He'll be a good player for sure, but if he ever reaches to be half as good as Henry, utd have been mugged off.

Bookmark it mate and we will speak again at beginning of next season

Problem for welbeck was Utd

In a season or so we will see who is better from sturridge ball and welbs.
-----------------------------------------
Look at they're records and you'll see that welbeck is nowhere near Sturridge.

Welbeck on loan at Sunderland: 6 in 26

Sturridge on loan at Bolton: 8 in 12

Love the fact that if arsenal had been linked with welbeck a week ago they'd have killed themselves. Why do you think winger left it till the last minute?

Their records at Chelsea and United were similar though...

Think Sturridge had 1 in 4 and Welbeck had 1 in 4.8 or 4.9. Thats when they were both played out of position.

Don't forget Sturridge was the main man at Bolton, Welbeck played with Gyan and Bent, 2 pretty good forwards at the time, he was generally on the side of a 3.
