Fabregas Fee

Barcelona have released the figure we paid for Cesc is 26.2m and there are add ons which could reach 2.3m
I think all clubs should be made to release the real figures like this so the supporters know the true costs.

Was surprised Suarez was 64.5m, thought it was north of 75m

Maybe the FFP bods should publish the figures, they must have them if they are managing the rules properly and fairly.

Someone should. There should be more transparency.

Sky say that we paid £30m on him....

we paid £19.5m for oscar but Sky say we paid £25m

in contrast Falcao's wages are around £450,000 per week with Monaco paying £150,000 of it.
yet the papers i have seen this morning are saying that he will be paid £275,000 by Utd.

is it me or do the players we sign have the fee inflated to suit the article being written? i.e Chelsea spending too much.
But the Utd fees are either dropped or brushed under the carpet like they came through thte youth system.

Is it just me that has noticed this?

Nah, not true. You just get journalist making up figures or just being lazy so it suits their agenda.

Was reading last week about how much United have wasted on signings in recent years, with Nani and Anderson being 2 players mentioned. But either biased or lazy journalism led to the figures we paid for them back in 2007 being shown using last weeks exchange rate, adding quite a few £m onto each players fee.

Same for all clubs really, depending on where the journalists loyalties lie.

Journos are vermin, we are fools because we pick and choose when to believe them and they keep playing us.

Maybe you did, but only £26.2m went to Barcelona and the rest went to agents?

I've also noticed this. The media have been doing it for years but I'm so used to it now that I don't really give it too much of my time.

Our transfer business this summer was outstanding and our net spend was basically nothing. You won't hear the media patting us on the back about it anytime soon though.
