It puts you in the driving seat and as long as the player is happy, it means no one else can get them before you do. If the player isn't, you can still buy him but the question then is would you want to.
If you get back into the CL, I imagine he will be happy, if not he might kick off a bit and try and angle for a move elsewhere. It's hard to judge with Falcao though as he doesn't appear to be particularly interested by the CL!

If we get into the CL that'll surely means he's off!
I still feel though that if Real cause a big enough fuss for Falcao they'd get him. My half Spanish half Colombian friend has always said his dream is to play for Real. I'm curious as to why they didn't this summer.

This summer, I think hey just wanted backup for Benzema still rather than proper competition. It's a difficult move from Atletico to Real too.

Yeah, my friend kept saying when Monaco bought him that this was the only way Real could get him as Atletico where never going to sell directly to Real.
I guess we should just enjoy him for now and see what happens. You never know, he might fall in love with Manchester...

Apparently the Real president has a man crush on Benzema and didn't want Falcao to come in and take his place hence a loan for the less threatening Hernandez.
If benzema keeps disappointing though I can see Perez' patience wearing thin.
