Put up and shut up

Adressing the two sides of the coin .Papers full of folk with no say in VVD moving to the EPL in January. Bottom line the guy just passed the 25% mark of his contract with us at the start of this season which is not even a handfull of games old.
It was pleasing to see us knocking back what would have been good money for what the EPL sides offer for Scottish players but it needs to go further. The situation now in play is a similar scenario to tone we see often regarding players from Portugese or Dutch clubs where they play hard ball with the English clubs. They have been told NO. Celtic know VVD will go at the right price and I am guessing the plan was always to sell him at the end of this season , most likely expecting his progress to follow that of Wanyama's in it taking a season for him to bed in before his selling season came to fruition.
As it turns out he just hit the ground not only running but at a sprint right from the off and was the salable article by the end of his first season if not mid way through it.
Crux of the matter is if we sell him as suits us at the end of this season he will have delivered in the season we expected him to and thus given us the rewards we sought from him being at the club. If any of the sides reported to be chasing him want him early in January then they should expect to pay a premium for such.
So as I said add a zero or shut the feck up , granted much of the patter has been from past players who are not only irrelevent to any actuall negotitions but are coming from entirely different viewpoints to ours and to be honest are basing such opinion on the traditional offer a Scottish club anything that looks half decent and they will accept .
This mould is changing with even DU getting their act together in demanding at least a decent portion of what similar classed players would attract if they were from European nations who have long set such as the starting point in any dealings.
So any team looking to disrupt our team midseason , dig deep and the pundits your opinion means nothing to those who matter
