The Posh entertain the Magpies (and the Posh supporters again) this Saturday in what, historically, has tended to be a bruising tie. Hopefully, our youngsters will get through it unscathed, as winners.
The beautiful game has returned to London Road in the form of our present team, so I'm looking forward to seeing it played out again on Saturday.
Tyrone Barnett has departed on emergency loan to Oxford Utd, which is good for us and hopefully will end up in his leaving London Road permanently; as he never lived up to his £1m transfer fee.

Peterborough Utd V Notts County

It looks like the decider to this game will be which team applies the stronger work ethic on the day.
The Magpies are good away, and both teams have players returning from injury. The Magpies have also borrowed a Forest player.
I'm plumping for a 1-0 win to the Posh.

Reckon Peterborough UTD 3-0 Notts County. I just read Shaun Derry is the manager, he conceded a penalty against Man utd when Man utd went 8 points clear before Man utd collapsed the title.

Hi Hafi, it will interesting to see how Notts County's experienced "Old guard" (some ex-Man U) - Roy Carroll, Alan Smith and Gary Jones - do against our youngsters.

Wow Alan Smith at NottsConty and it was only a few moths ago I was reading about Roy Caroll take on Man utd Olympiakos game and now he is at Notts County. I was amazed he was at Olympiakos when we played them
Remember Smith breaking his leg stopping a long range sht against Liverpool in fa cp,he finally recovered and he goal he fnished was one of the best ever goals.

A battling display against a stubborn (especially Smith & Jones) Notts County and Ref.
If only, right at the end, Maddison had forsaken shooting for glory and passed it to the Taylor who was in the perfect position to score the winner.
One of those entertaining 0-0 draws.
As for Roy Carroll and Alan Smith, Hafi, both showed their class. With his long golden hair and beard, though, Smith resembled Robinson Crusoe.

Hafi is mental.
We played reasonably well. Should have won the game.
Maddison put it on a plate for James and Vassell and they mucked up great chances so I don't blame him for shooting late on.
He looks too good for us to be honest. We won't keep him long as he is different class.

Maddison is good. We should have him, though, for the whole season at least (and beyond, if we get promoted).

We'll see.
If he maintains this level through the winter I wouldn't be at all surprised if we got some big offers in January.
