Sturridge is injury prone which is why (on your stats) he has missed 20% of games since he joined the club.
A non-injury prone player such as Suarez, Henderson etc doesn't miss games through injury.

We lose a forward for 2-3 weeks and nobody even mentions Lambert!
I can see him coming in and playing with Mario.

I think they would work very well together too.
Actually, I think that as good as both Sturridge and Balotelli are, they will both work better with Lambert than each other.

He's spingy and explosive and seems to get muscle strains in his thighs - can't see him having a long career.
What I would say is that I think he is injury prone is he has to play 2+ games each week every week. He's not had to do that so far and he wasn't in the England squad when he joined us.
Personally I think he's injury prone.
